Teenager from The Temple Wins Photo Contest

Mia Perkins, a teenager from The Temple, was recently named a winner in a global photography competition about Jewish identity organized by ANU – Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv.

The My Jewish Lens photography competition, now in its sixth year and organized by the museum, challenges Jewish teens worldwide to photograph and describe their connection to Jewish people, celebrating Jewish identity and culture.

Twenty winners were named from more than 2,000 entrants across 30 countries, including Argentina, Guatemala, Ireland, Latvia, South Africa, Australia, and the U.S.

Of the 20 international finalists, six were from the U.S. They include Perkins, of The Temple’s Breman Education Center, for her photo “Dreidel.”
