Anne Shafferman Rubin, a longtime resident of the Atlanta area, passed away July 6, 2019, after a long illness, surrounded by her devoted family and friends.
Anne Shafferman Rubin, a longtime resident of the Atlanta area, passed away July 6, 2019, after a long illness, surrounded by her devoted family and friends. Born in 1944 in Atlanta and raised in Birmingham, Ala., Anne received a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Georgia. She enjoyed a successful career as the owner of a legal secretary recruiting business and worked at her son Philip’s law firm, where she remained until her retirement.
Anne enjoyed reading, going to movies and plays with her circle of beloved friends, and spending time with her family and seven grandchildren. She relished attending all of their school and sporting events and will be missed dearly by the community.
She is survived by her brother Stanley Shafferman; sons, Kevin (Lori), Philip (Amy) and Jeremy (Mitzi); and her adored grandchildren Jake, Hayden, Spencer, Hailey, Alec, Zach and Beck brought her great joy.
