Home Chefs Needed for ‘Almost Chopped’

Nominations are due Aug. 31 for a Hadassah competition benefiting research into neurological diseases.

Hadassah Greater Atlanta is hosting a cooking competition, “Almost Chopped,” in January and needs home cooks to sign up as chef-testants by Thursday, Aug. 31.

The event, scheduled for Jan. 21, will raise money for the awareness, research and treatment of debilitating neurological diseases such as ALS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis.

Are you a home cook with a large group of fans or know of a home cook with a large cheering section? Nominate yourself or that other person to be a chef-testant by sending an email with contact information and a note about why you or that other person would be a good candidate to atlanta@hadassah.org. Please put “Chef-testant” in the subject line.

Four teams of two chef-testants will compete in two rounds of cooking. The challenge is for the chef-testants to take the baskets filled with mystery ingredients, along with the tools provided, to create something that will wow our judges, who are some of Atlanta’s top chefs.

Be a part of the future as the Hadassah Medical Organization leads the way with the power of persistence.
