Blankets of Love Chairs, L-R: Arlette Berlin, Cherie Aviv and Jacqueline Granath

For patients undergoing chemotherapy at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute, The Peach State Stitchers, the Atlanta Chapter of The Pomegranate Guild of Judaic Needlework, invites the community to join them in making 300 “Blankets of Love” on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from

1-4 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El, 1580 Spalding Drive, Atlanta, Georgia.  These cozy and warm fleece blankets can help ease the physical and emotional side effects patients experience during treatments.  The event is appropriate for those age 12 and above.  All supplies will be provided. No experience is needed and no sewing is involved. One can come anytime between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each blanket costs $10, with proceeds going towards the “Blankets of Love” supplies.  Those who would like to participate can RSVP by Feb. 7, 2014 to PSSBlanketsofLove@gmail.com and a registration form will be emailed promptly.
