Tom Price has been the U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 6th district since 2004. The district covers parts of Cobb, Dekalb and Fulton counties including East Cobb, Roswell, Brookhaven and Sandy Springs. Rep. Price was a cosponsor of H.R. 4133, The United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012. When it passed he published this statement on his website:

“Reaffirming America’s relationship with Israel is important in sending a signal to the rest of the world that the United States stands with the people of Israel in the ongoing quest for peace and stability in the Middle East,” said Price.  “This means acknowledging Israel’s right to defend herself, providing assistance when necessary to do so, and rejecting any attempts by the Palestinians to circumvent negotiations toward a settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  The United States will continue to stand with our ally Israel and all those who seek peace and an end to violence in the Middle East.”

Price spoke with us about his current project, The Empowering Patients First Act or H.R. 2300, which aims to bring more patient-centered solutions to the healthcare industry. The act is guided by four main objectives: Ensuring easy access to health coverage for all American, cutting back healthcare costs, solving insurance challenges of portability and pre existing illness and lastly improving the health care delivery structure.

Thanks again to Rep. Price for taking the time to come in and chat with us. For more information on his current projects and resolutions visit his website: http://tomprice.house.gov/
