Simcha: Bat Mitzvah, Judith Alembik
Judith Alembik, 78, celebrated becoming a bat mitzvah Saturday, Nov. 14, at Ahavath Achim Synagogue. Alembik is a lawyer and has wanted to have a bat mitzvah ceremony since she was 13 years old. With the encouragement of her sons, Marc and Gary, she decided to begin her bat mitzvah study after the death of her husband, Aaron, in 2013.
