More than 200 people attended Congregation Shearith Israel’s farewell event for Rabbi Hillel Norry on Saturday night, May 30. Rabbi Norry chose not to seek a new contract at the Conservative intown synagogue after serving as its spiritual leader for 13 years. After an unsuccessful search for a permanent replacement this year, Shearith now is looking for an interim rabbi for the next year.
