Rabbi Raphael Gold, age 86, of Atlanta and previously of Savannah, died March 26, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Naomi Gold, of blessed memory. He was beloved by many, having served congregations in Atlanta, Savannah and Montgomery, Ala. He is survived by two sons and their wives: Rabbi Hillel Gold and Dr. Ruth Gershen Gold of Teanneck, N.J. (and their children Tziporah, Tamar, Avraham, Merav, Akiva and Elisheva), and Dr. Sam and Julie Gold of Atlanta (and their daughter Aliza).
