Obituary: Sylvia Link Strelzik
Sylvia Link Strelzik died July 3rd. She was 89 at the time of her death and would have been 90 on August 3rd.
Sylvia was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Lillian Kalish Link & Sidney Link. She later lived in Flushing, N.Y., Old Bridge, N.J., and Jupiter, FL. with her husband of 56 years, Herbert.
She worked as a comptometrist while raising her two sons, Steven and Jonathan. While living in Jupiter, FL. Sylvia worked for Jewish Family and Career Services. Sylvia was an active volunteer in her synagogues wherever she lived. Mahjong was one of her many passions, along with local theater and playing the slots. Sylvia and Herb had an active social life and enjoyed traveling with their many friends. Sylvia was devoted to her family and made them a priority throughout her life.
Sylvia is survived by her sons Steven and his wife Holly of Atlanta, GA., and Jonathan and his wife Holly of Summit, N.J., grandchildren Andrew and his wife Megan, Jeffrey, Michael and Shay and many nieces and nephews.
