Obituary: Stephen Kutner, 82
Stephen Kutner (born April 6, 1934), a physician and humanitarian, will be laid to rest Sunday, July 24, at 3 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
A native of Far Rockaway, N.Y., Kutner attended New York University and Vanderbilt Medical School and practiced ophthalmology for decades in Atlanta. He was also a passionate philanthropist, founding medical charities Project Vision and Jewish Healthcare International, which brought eyesight, health and life to thousands of people in communities in need around the world.

Kutner is survived by his wife, Jeanney; his sons, Rob (Sheryl Zohn) Kutner of Los Angeles and David (Calley) Kutner of Guntersville, Ala.; his grandchildren, Miller, Allee Belle, Sasha and Jeremy; his brother, Lee Kutner; his nephews and nieces, Janet and Ian Simmons and Scott, Linda and Matthew Kutner; and his dog, Che.
