Obituary: Maury Benamy, 55

On Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, we lost a very special person. Maury Benamy was 55 and, as he would say, “feelin’ alive.”

He appeared to be in great health and was very active. He went caving and hiking whenever the opportunity arose and was always up for the next adventure. He loved his two daughters, Cora, 14, and Caitlin, 18, with all of his heart and would do everything in his power to make them happy. He loved his business and those involved in it. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Maury.

Survivors include daughters Cora and Caitlin; mother Gloria Benamy; sister and brother-in-law Lauren and Danny Kahn; the mother of his children, Teresa Benamy; aunt Rita (Ronnie) Klee; uncle Joel (Toni) Adler; and a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredric Benamy, of blessed memory.

Sign the online guestbook at www.edressler.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to the Southeastern Cave Conservancy Inc. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at Crest Lawn Memorial Park with Rabbi Bradley Levenberg officiating. Arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, A770-451-4999.
