Obituary: Lillian Goldsmith Stone

Lillian Goldsmith Stone, 92, died May 12, 2019. She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., to Pauline Kovelmen Goldsmith and Herman Goldsmith, and fostered by Rose and Sydney Schwarz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Stone. They were married for 68 years. She is survived by daughters Janice Stone Levetan (Steven) and Nancy Stone; grandson Joshua Levetan (Lauren); great-grandchildren Bailey and Avi Levetan; sisters, Elaine Baum (Bill) and Marion Goldsmith Green; nephew Henry Stone (Maggie); and nieces Jane Stone (Michael), Michelle Stone (Teiji), Robin Stone McNutt (Dennis), Karen Baum (Ed), Joanne Baum (Mike) and Halli Green; and many great-nieces and nephews. Lillian loved her family and friends. She loved to entertain and there was always room at her table. Music brought her great joy. It’s fitting that she left in her favorite season, spring in Atlanta.
