Jake Isenberg and Jared Isenberg, sons of Leslie and Doug Isenberg of Atlanta, were called to the Torah as b’nai mitzvah in Israel June 15, 2019. Rabbi Brad Levenberg of Temple Sinai officiated.
Jake and Jared are seventh graders at The Galloway School in Atlanta. Among their many activities, Jake is a member of the school’s debate team and Jared plays soccer with the Brookhaven Football Club. Following their b’nai mitzvah in Jerusalem, Jake and Jared attended Union for Reform Judaism URJ 6 Points camps: Jake was at Creative Arts Academy near Philadelphia and Jared was at 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy near Boston.
For their mitzvah project, Jake and Jared donated to and served dinner at the Ronald McDonald House, and collected and donated arts and crafts supplies to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Jake and Jared are the grandsons of Lois Blonder and Betty and Dick Isenberg, all of Atlanta.
