Intown Hebrew School Offers Free Kindergarten

The Intown Hebrew School is offering free kindergarten this school year, as well as half off tuition for all children in families new to the school.

Rabbi Ari Sollish will lead two sessions of the six-part “Election 2016” course.

“We’ve seen tremendous growth in the number of intown families with young children,” said Chabad Intown Rabbi Ari Sollish, the director of the Intown Hebrew School. “Our motto is ‘No Jewish Child Left Behind,’ and we’re doing everything in our power to make that a reality.”

The child-centered school blends learning methods and media to help kindergartners through seventh-graders learn Jewish values, history, holidays, Hebrew and more in a practical way. “They’re learning how to integrate the values into their own lives, how to be a mensch, how to see themselves as caretakers and healers of the world,” Rabbi Sollish said. “They learn responsibility, leadership and empathy, and we give them opportunities to give back to the community.”

The school maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio and serves children from various Jewish backgrounds and affiliations. Synagogue membership is not required.

Classes start Sunday, Aug. 28, and continue on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to noon. Visit www.intownhebrewschool.org, or call Rabbi Sollish at 404-898-0434 for more details.
