The Conexx young professionals event draws a wide range of ages to Alon’s on Sept. 14.

Jewish community members of all ages gathered at Alon’s in Dunwoody on Thursday, Sept. 14, for a Conexx food, wine and networking event with guest speaker and host Alon Balshan, the Israeli-American owner of the bakery and restaurant.

One advantage of an event at Alon’s is a fine selection of Mediterranean dishes.

Organized by Conexx’s young professionals group, the event offered a selection of Mediterranean dishes and signature wines in partnership with the Sorting Table, a wine importer and marketer.

Bartender Stephanie Northrup runs through the list of wines offered at the Conexx wine tasting.

Alon Balshan shares his personal and business story.

He highlighted the importance of persevering through difficult times and learning in the Israel Defense Forces to never say, “I can’t.”
