Rabbi David Geffen, a native Atlantan living in Jerusalem, turned 81 Nov. 1. He arrived in this world on the birthday of his father, born on New York’s East Side in 1904.
Geffen’s three children, Avie, Elissa and Tuvia, grandson Daniel and son-in-law, Chemi, came from various parts of Israel to celebrate the birthday. They took him and his wife Rita to brunch at the Anna Ticho House, named for a prominent painter from the 1920s to the ‘70s.
It was Geffen’s 42nd birthday celebration in Jerusalem.
