Biden Makes 100th Day Victory Lap with a Brief Disruption by Protestors

A rising sophomore at Georgetown University, Nathan plans to major in government and minor in film and media studies as well as statistics, hoping to eventually get into a career creating digital content for campaigns or covering them for the Atlanta Jewish Times and other media outlets.
President Biden first arrived in Southern Georgia, spending time in Plains, Georgia with former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn.
Meanwhile over in Duluth, the President’s celebratory rally had begun with a variety of speakers talking to the crowd. Many of Georgia’s Democratic congressional delegation spoke to the crowd, including newly elected Congresswomen Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-7) and Nikema Williams (GA-5), as well as former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, Sen. Jon Ossoff, Sen. Raphael Warnock and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. Georgia’s two newly elected democratic senators didn’t speak at the rally, as they returned on a flight from Washington after morning votes, and only joined the rally as the President concluded his remarks.
The President spoke largely about the accomplishments of his first 100 days, and the bills that are still making their way through Congress that he wants to sign.

He was briefly interrupted by two protestors, holding up a sign reading, “Community not Cages,” and yelling at the President briefly over immigration issues. Otherwise, the rally was peaceful and focused on the new President’s agenda going forward.
