Becky Arbiv Vaults to Record
Weber School senior Becky Arbiv set a Georgia high school indoor pole vaulting record Sunday, Dec. 11, with a jump of 13 feet, 7.5 inches.
It was the highest high school pole vault in the nation this indoor track season.
Arbiv, who recently signed to attend Duke University next year as a member of the track and field team, is only the third Weber student-athlete to sign with an NCAA Division I school.
The meet at which Arbiv set the record was Georgia’s first indoor track meet for high-schoolers since 2001. The Atlanta Track Club and Pole Vault Atlanta hosted the competition.
