Celtic Thunder Performing at Woodruff Arts Center. The international singing sensation Celtic Thunder announces its upcoming North American Tour, coming to Symphony Hall at Woodruff Arts Center Friday, November 21 at 8 p.m. The group performs with a full symphony orchestra and will perform songs from their new CD, Holiday Symphony. Shabbat, Me & Rabbi G. Bring your children to enjoy a Shabbat-related activity and story at the MJCCA Srochi Discovery Center followed by songs and blessings with Rabbi Glusman and a visit from the Weinstein School Shabbat Dinosaur. Randy and Caroline Gold of Jewish Gene Screen To Speak at AJA. The first presentation of AJA’s Community Speakers series features Caroline and Randy Gold, founders of Jewish Gene Screen. The Golds will share the story of their personal journey, and how JScreen evolved as a result. Saliva screening kits will be available for on-site or take-home testing, as well as gift certificates for a test kit for yourself or a loved one. Or VeShalom Hosts 39th Annual Hanukkah Bazaar. Or VeShalom Synagogue celebrates its 100th anniversary and will host its 39th Annual Hanukkah Bazaar on Sunday, December 7th from 11am- 5pm. Guests can sample authentic Sephardic/Mediterranean cuisine and hand made delicacies and pastries for dine in or take-out lunch and for an early dinner. Come browse and shop at booths featuring local art, jewelry, crafts, used books, and much more. This year children will enjoy an expanded art and game room, and everyone can have a chance to win a cash 50/50 raffle. Admission is $3.00 at the door.
