Prayer Gathering for Dan Appelrouth April 6

On Wednesday night at 8:15pm, following Ma’ariv, YITH invites friends of Dan Appelrouth to come together in prayer for his speedy recovery and if so inclined give tzedakkah in Dan’s merit to the Atlanta Hunger Relief Fund. This fund was founded by Dan years ago and has already raised and distributed more than $180,000 to Atlanta’s poor.

Dan is currently in critical condition in the ICU at Grady Memorial Hospital being treated for pain and a variety of other serious medical conditions.

Dan has been active in Atlanta’s Jewish Community since 1977 when he and Arlene arrived here, ready to make Atlanta home. He’s been on the boards of three synagogues, sung on the stage of the Jewish Community Center, been a lay cantor at Temple Emanuel and Beth Tikvah, and has visited the sick at Emory as part of the Bikur Cholim committee of JF&CS. Dan Appelrouth has been giving of his time and talent ever since he moved here. He worked as a rheumatologist for twenty-five years, and his reputation as a physician is still talked about by the patients who wish he hadn’t retired, due to health reasons.

Let us show our support and love for Dan by coming together in prayer on his behalf this Wednesday night at 8:15pm at YITH, 2056 Lavista Rd.
