She was born in New York, N.Y., on July 30, 1925, to Ruth and Samuel Miller, both of blessed memory. After marrying in 1946, Janet moved to Atlanta to start her family. She had a warm, friendly, outgoing personality and loved to socialize with family and friends. She was a woman of great compassion, always concerned for and eager to help all of her many friends. She was a strong, loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family. Since arriving in Atlanta and joining, she was an active member of Ahavath Achim Synagogue; a past president of Sisterhood, she also worked in the gift shop for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Leonard A. Meyer; her three sons, R. Scott Meyer of South Lake Tahoe, Nev., Dr. Roger P. Meyer of Carson City, Nev., and Richard C. Meyer and daughter-in-law Donna Edwards Meyer of Milton; four grandchildren, Dr. Seth E. Meyer (Shinobu), Hilary Pine (Kristopher), Annie-Michele Meyer and Max David Meyer; and two great-grandchildren, Ben and Remy.

Janet will be so dearly missed but always remembered. Sign the online guestbook at www.edressler.com. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 1, at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs with Rabbi Neil Sandler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one’s favorite charity. Arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, 770-451-4999.
