Obituary: Betty Brinker Lipson

Betty Brinker Lipson, 92, lovingly remembered as Bub, died on August 16, surrounded by the embrace of cherished family members.

She re-located to the Atlanta area in 2006 from south Florida with her late husband, Cantor William W. Lipson.

She is survived by her children, Rabbi Norman (Shoshi) Lipson of Weston FL; Shelley Covin (Dr. Louis) Milakofsky of Sandy Springs GA; Denny (Gary) Ticker of Dallas TX; grandchildren: Josh (Felissa) Covin, Staci (Matt) Brill, Ilana (Todd) Cohen, Dr. Aliza Lipson (Seth Finck), Leah (Alan) Hiller, and Dr. Becca (Dr. Andrew) Perin; great-grandchildren Jessica and Zachary Covin, Ryan and Olivia Brill, Zana and Daniel Cohen, Lyla Finck, Celia and Eden Daisy Hiller.  Betty was a devoted partner to her husband of nearly 65 years.

Betty took great pride in her role as mother to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and in service to the Jewish community of Greater Miami, where they are fondly remembered.  Donations to honor the life of Betty Lipson may be made to Congregation B’nai Torah (bnaitorah.org) Chesed Fund.  Private graveside services will be held.  Shiva will be observed at the Milakofsky residence on Thursday, August 18, 2016 between 5:00-9:00 pm, Minyan at 6:00 pm.  Arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care, 770-451-4999.
