Miriam M. Gerson passed away June 13, in San Antonio, Texas. A Holocaust survivor, Miriam was a life-member of Congregation Shearith Israel in Atlanta and a member of Temple Beth-El in San Antonio. Miriam was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, and an avid City of Hope volunteer. She was loved and admired for her smile, optimism, and her ability to never give up. She is survived by her son, and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Gerson; daughter, Joan G. Robinowich; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and sister, Roma Fishman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abram J. Gerson; son-in-law, Jerrel Robinowich; and her family that perished in the Holocaust. Funeral services will be held on Sun., June 29 at 8:00 a.m. at Beth-El Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Atlanta Chapter of City of Hope; Jewish Family & Career Services Holocaust Survivors Assistance Program in Atlanta; Congregation Shearith Israel Atlanta; or Temple Beth-El San Antonio.
