Letter: A Beautiful Story

We want to thank the Atlanta Jewish Times for bringing attention to the beautiful artistry of Sirod X and her unique personal history (“The Art and Spiritual Journey of Sirod X,” Jan. 19).

Sirod is but one of many truly special individuals who reside at Berman Commons, and we kvell regularly over each and every one. The response to your piece from our residents, family members, staff and the greater Atlanta Jewish community has been heartwarming.

In keeping with the guiding principles of our memory support program, I’m Still Here, this tribute to Sirod X further emphasizes how important it is to recognize the accomplishments, hard work and intrinsic beauty of every individual, no matter the person’s age or life circumstances.
