Hadassah to Discuss Medical Marijuana

Hadassah Greater Atlanta is looking at the issue of medical marijuana at its health professionals event Sunday, Feb. 18.

Decatur physician Zachary Cohen will present “Medical Marijuana — Get the Facts!” at 1 p.m. that day at Congregation Or Hadash, 7460 Trowbridge Road, Sandy Springs. (Note: An earlier version of this article had an incorrect location.)

Cohen is board-certified in family and integrative medicine and has an integrative primary care practice.

Century of Hadassah Medicine

Hadassah in 2018 is celebrating the centennials of the Hadassah Medical Organization and its nursing school and ophthalmology department, as well as the 70th birthday of the state of Israel.

Nancy Schwartz is the Southeastern chair of the 2018 celebration.

Early-bird registration has opened for two major centennial events: the Hadassah Women’s Health and Advocacy Conference from May 15 to 17 in Washington ($575) and From Dream to Innovation: Israel Milestone Mission from Oct. 7 to 15 ($2,900).
