Capstone Financial Hires Greenfield

Atlanta’s Capstone Financial has appointed Scott Greenfield as managing partner and eventual successor to managing partner Chuck McCray.

The hiring is part of an expansion for Capstone, a Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance general agency.

“A byproduct of Atlanta’s economic vitality is that many up-and-coming businesses, families and professionals new to the area do not yet have a framework in place to provide financial protection if something unexpected were to happen,” McCray said.

Greenfield will help manage the firm’s strategic growth in response to the rising demand for financial advice and services. He has 23 years’ experience in financial services, most recently with Lenox Advisor in New York.

“The phrase ‘Growth built on a strong foundation’ is more than a catchphrase we use with clients; it is a fundamental principle of the way we do business,” McCray said. “Scott is an accomplished and compassionate leader who will strengthen our leadership team and provide inspiration, support and resources to our associates, leading the firm into the future.”

McCray and Greenfield will lead the firm together until McCray’s retirement in January 2019.

With 72 financial service professionals, Capstone has more than 22,800 clients in Georgia, South Carolina and the panhandle of Florida.
