B’nai Torah Reaches Softball Semis

A League Softball Bracket
No. 1 seed B’Nai Torah has advanced to the semi-finals for the ninth consecutive season.

Looking to capture its ninth consecutive A division title, top-seeded Congregation B’nai Torah advanced to the Atlanta Men’s Synagogue Softball League semifinals with two wins Sunday, Aug. 9.

After sending Chabad to the losers bracket with a decisive 18-6 victory, B’nai Torah squeezed by Congregation Dor Tamid 7-6 and will now face No. 2 seed Congregation Or VeShalom on Sunday, Aug. 16, in the A semifinals.

In the B and C divisions, both No. 1 seeds have moved on to the finals.

Congregation Ariel, the regular-season B champion, defeated Young Israel of Toco Hills 11-4 in the semifinals and will play Temple Emanu-El, Congregation Gesher L’Torah or Young Israel for the B title Aug. 23.

Regular-season C champion Temple Kol Emeth reached the finals with a 21-11 win over Congregation Or Hadash. Kol Emeth will play Temple Beth Tikvah 2, Temple Sinai 2 or Or Hadash for the title Aug. 23.
