Beth Jacob to Honor 8 on 75th Anniversary

Each of four couples is representative of a core value of the Toco Hills synagogue.

Rabbi Emanuel Feldman, who retired from Beth Jacob and made aliyah more than a quarter-century ago, speaks during the 2017 annual dinner about the crucial role of the congregation in Atlanta’s Jewish development.

Congregation Beth Jacob is honoring four couples who serve as congregational ambassadors as the Orthodox shul celebrates its 75th anniversary with a gala Sunday night, April 29, at Heritage Hall.

Each of the four couples represents a core value of the congregation: Larry and Eleanor Bogart (family as the center of Jewish life); Mark and Barbara Fisher (Shabbos and hospitality); Aaron and Miriam Cann (shul as community); and Alan Minsk and Julie Kaminsky (focus on education).

The celebration, which is scheduled to include Rabbi Emeritus Emanuel Feldman on a visit back to Atlanta from Israel, starts with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. before dinner at 6:45.
