Atlanta Synagogue Softball Results – Week 1

The Atlanta Men’s Synagogue Softball league got off to a quick start May 22 with games in all three divisions.

The biggest surprise of the day came when nine-time defending A league champions B’nai Torah lost to Dor Tamid 13-4, their first regular season loss in more than two years.

In B league, strong showings from Or Hadash, Beth Tikvah and Chabad saw those teams go a combined 6-0 on Sunday. Or Hadash scored 39 total runs in two games while defeating Beth Jacob and Emanu-El soundly. Chabad inched out two one-run victories over Gesher L’Torah and Etz Chaim.

The AJT will continue to run softball scores, standings and schedules throughout the 2016 season. Due to memorial day, the next league games will be June 5 at East Roswell park and Terrell Mill park.
