Four members of the Perimeter Gymnastics team at the Marcus Jewish Community Center won championships at the recent 2016 USA Gymnastics state competition at the Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville.

Romy Ress finished first on the balance beam and second in the Level 3 all-around competition, and Julia Freedman won the uneven parallel bars at that level.

At Level 2, Abby Cohen and Alexa Maslia shared the title on the beam. Abby also finished second on the bars and in the floor exercise and third in the all-around standings.

Also at Level 2, Sophia Pristach was second on the vault, and Genevieve Geist placed third on beam. At Level 3, Bri Richardson finished third on the beam and all around, while Caroline Hoag and Lauren Nelson tied for third on the beam, and Maddie Yudin was second in the floor exercise.

As a team, Perimeter finished sixth out of 16 teams at Level 2 and eighth out of 17 teams at Level 3.
